Built directly over the Hellmouth, Sunnydale High is the school of choice for Sunnydale residents. After the original school was blown up in 1999, Sunnydale was without a highschool for some time and the ruins of the school were left standing until a new school was built on the same site in 2002. The new school lasted a year before it was destroyed, along with the rest of Sunnydale.
