Alex was born in Darien, Connecticut where she lived until the age of 12 when she moved to California. Here she began performing in local theatre productions and soon moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting.

Alex soon started pickin up work and guest starred in many popular series including Dawson's creek, Family Guy and of course, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. After her appearance on Buffy, the UPN network cast her in the lead role of a pilot, Mystery Girl, but unfortunately the pilot was never picked up.

Alex is also building a career in film and featured in D.E.B.S. alongside Buffy alumni Clare Kramer which won best short film at the 2003 New York Lesbian and Gay Film Festival. Alex currentll has two films in post-production for 2007 and 2008, The Art of Travel and The Bridge to Nowhere.
