Sarah Michelle Gellar

Born in New York, Sarah was an only child. Sarah Michelle Gellar was famously discovered by in a restaurant at the tender age of four and has been working on the stage and in film and TV ever since. Sarah attended the Professional Children's School in New York and graduated two years early. Sarah has studied both ice skating (which she competed in for 3 years) and Tae Kwon Do. Her big break came in 1993 when she was cast as Kendal Hart in the popular day time soap All My Children where she stayed for two years. Although originally cast as Cordelia, Sarah just kept coming back and coming back and eventually got the role she really wanted, the lead in Buffy The Vampire Slayer. In 1997 Sarah starred in the teen horror, I Know What You Did Last Summer alongside Freddie Prinze Jnr. The pair started dating and were married in 2002. After seven years of slaying, Sarah decided she had had enough and hung up her stakes to pursue her film career and has been working fairly constatntly since, having no less than six films being released in 2006. Sarah is a consumate professional and one of the most hard working actresses in Hollywood. When not acting Sarah, likes rollerblading, ice skating and water skiing.

Trivia

In 1982 Sarah appeared in an advert for Burger King which was famously the first advert to name it's rival.

Nicholas Brendon

Nick was born in Los Angeles, the second of identical twin brothers, he also has two other brothers, Christian and Kyle. Nick attended Passadena City College and got into acting initially as way of overcoming a stutter, he did many behind the scenes jobs (from the majority of which he was fired!) before landing the role of Xander in Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Since Buffy ended, Nick has appeared in a TV Movie, Celeste in the City and landed a role in short loived comdey Kitchen Confidential. He has also appeared in and associate produced a film to released later this year, Unholy. Nick married his girlfriend, Tressa DeFiglia in 2001. When not acting Nick likes to watch Dodger games and cook, he is also an avid supporter of the Stuttering Foundation of America of which he was chairperson for their Stuttering Awareness week for three years running from 2000 to 2003.

Trivia

Nick's twin brother Kelly Donovan, is also an actor and stuntman and worked on Buffy as Xander's double.

Both Nick and Kelly use their middle names (Brendon and Donovan) as their last names for professional purposes.

Alyson Hannigan

Alyson Hannigan was born Washington DC and began acting at the tender age of four. Alyson played clarinet while at junior school and attended North Hollywood High School where she graduated in 1992. Although she was not the original choice for Willow, Alyson is best known for her roles in Buffy The Vampire Slayer and the American Pie movies. Alyson was originally offered the part of Heather in American Pie, however, she found the role of Michelle to be more interesting. Since the end of Buffy, Alyson has appeared on stage in London's West End in the stage version of When Harry Met Sally, become a recurring character in Veronica Mars and landed a starred role in hit sitcom, How I Met Your Mother.

Trivia

While working on Buffy, Alyson met Alexis Denisof (Wesley), but it was not until he left the show that they started dating. They were married in 2003.

Anthony Stewart Head

Tony was born in Camden, North London, England, to actress Helen Shingler and documentary producer Seafield Head. Tony has an older brother, Murray, who is also an actor and the pair grew up in Hampton. Tony attended the London Acadamy of Music and Dramatic Arts and intended to go into the musical profession. Tony managed to combine both acting and music by appearing in several musical productions including The Rocky Horror Show. He landed several small roles in British TV but it was his casting in a series of Gold Blend commercials that brought him to fame. The success of these commercials, however lead to Tony's career coming to something of a stand still in the UK and so he decided to move to LA where he was much better received. Here he signed up for acting classes and soon landed a role in the short lived series VR-5. Undeterred, Tony remained in LA and was soon cast in the role of Giles in Buffy The Vampire Slayer. After five years on the show, Tony decided that he wanted to spend more time at home with his partner and family and returned to live in England, appearing in the last two seasons of Buffy as a recurring special guest star.

Since returning to the UK, Tony has had no problems obtaining roles in both TV, most noteably comedy series, 'Little Britain', and theatre where he recieved an award for his performance alongside Richard E Grant in Otherwise Engaged. Most recently he has appeared in the revived Doctor Who series for the BBC and a pilot sitcom, 'Him & Us' based around the life of Elton John. Tony has also released an album in collaberation with George Sarah entitled 'Music for Elevators'. Tony currently resides with his partner, Sarah, who is a animal psychologist, and their two daughters, Emily and Daisy.

Seth Green

Seth was born in Pennsylvania and raised with his elder sister, Kaela, in the Overbrook Park area by his parents, maths teacher, Herb and artist Barbara Green. After seeing a production of Hello Dolly at Summer Camp at the age of six, Seth knew that he wanted to act and began at early age and has continued to get regular work. In 1988 he starred alongside Alyson Hannigan in My Stepmother Is An Alien, though he is probably best known for his role as Scott Evil in the Austin Powrs films.

Since leaving Buffy, Seth has continued to work, appearing in the remake of the Italian job and voicing the character of Chris Griffin in Family Guy. Seth is currently at his busiest, appearing in sitcom, Four Kings, still doing voice work for Family Guy, co-writing and producing animated series Robot Chicken and writing the comic, The Freshman. He will also be appearing in the Brazilian Job, sequel to the Italian Job.

Trivia

Seth was no stranger to the Buffyverse when he landed the role of Oz, having been cast in the original film version of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, and although his scenes were cut from the end product he is still featured on the back cover of the DVD.

A young Seth Green played a young Alyson Hannigan's boyfriend in My Stepmother is an Alien.

James Marsters

James Wesley Marsters was born Greenville, California, and he grew up with his brother and sister in Modesto. James is from a religious background, his father was a minister, and his mother almost became a nun. He attended Davis High School and went on to attend Julliard, the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts and the American Conservatory Theatre. For ten years his work was mainly in theatre both acting and producing, he pefromed in New York, Chicago and Seattle. James eventually made the move to LA to pursue his carreer in TV and film and got his break with a small role in an episode of Northern Exposure. He made such a good impression that they brought him back as a different character for another episode the next year.

James landed his role as Spike in Buffy in its second season and was supposed to be killed off, however, he was such a hit with the fans and the show's producers that he was brought back briefly in season three and then as a regular until the series end when he went on to co-star in the spin-off series Angel.

Since Angel finished, James has spent time recording his own solo album, touring and appearing at conventions. He has also been busy acting having landed a recurring role as Braniac in the WB's Smallville and appearing in TV Movie Cool Money and more recently Shadow Puppets which is due to be released in 2006.

Trivia

When Angel finished, James shaved his bleach blonde hair off to raise money for charity. Since this time he has kept away from the peroxide.

Marc Blucas

During his high school years Marc played basketball and, after graduating in 1990 he went on to Wake Forest University in Winson-Salem, North Carolina. After college he continued to play basketball for the Manchester Giants in Europe. Inspired by his love of the film, 'A Few Good Men', Marc wanted a career as an attorney but soon turned to acting. His break came in 1996 when a baby-faced basketball player was required for the feature film, Eddie. Marc took time off to study acting before taking a bit part in Pleasantville, his basketball knowledge helped turn this into a larger acting role and he also choreographed the film's basketball scenes. Soon after he landed the role of Riley in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Since leaving Buffy Marc has continued to work mainly in film, most recently starring alongside Katie Holmes in First Daughter.

Emma Caulfield

Emma was born and raised in San Diego, and began studying drama in high school at the La Jolla Playhouse and the Old Globe Theatre. Emma attended San Francisco State and UCLA where she studied psycology. On leaving college she again turned to acting and attended, The American School in Switzerland (TASIS) in London.

Having done several guest spots on TV, Emma's break came when she landed a recurring role on popular teen drama Beverley Hills 90201. She originally guest starred on Buffy in just one episode but the success of her role meant that she was brought back and eventually became one of the regular cast, staying with the series until the end.

After leaving Buffy, Emma has written and produced her own 'mocumentary', Bandwagon which includes cameo appearance from some of her Buffy co-stars, including Joss Whedon.

Michelle Trachtenberg

Michelle was born and raised in new York where she attended Bay Acadamy jnior High School and then went on to graduate from Notre Dame High School with awards in Social Studies and Religion. Michelle started acting at an early age and starred in the daytime soap All My Children alongside Sarah Michelle Gellar. Michelle worked consistently from a young age, starting with a guest spot on Law and Order and going on to star in Harriet The Spy and Inspector Gadget among other things before landing the role of Buffy's mystical little sister, Dawn.

Michelle has continued to work since Buffy ended having three films under her belt already and another three due to be released in 2006.

When not working Michelle enjoys swimming, ice skating and writing poems.

Trivia

Michelle remained friends with Sarah Michelle Gellar from their time on All My Children and became a huge fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It was Sarah who introduced Michelle to Joss Whedon when she brought her to the set.

Michelle is of Russian and German descent and speaks fluent Russian.

Amber Benson

Amber Nicole Benson was born to Herb and Diane Benson in Birmingham, Alabama where she lived with her younger sister until the age of twelve. Amber started performing at an early age and studied singing and dancing as well as acting. Amber and her family moved first to Orlando, Florida and then eventually to Los Angeles where she began work in TV and film.

As well as acting, Amber has written, produced and directed, most notably her own film Chance, starring Buffy's James Marsters and Angel's Andy Hallett. Amber has also written for the Buffy series of comics and in 2003 she teamed up with fellow Buffy writer, Christopher Golden to write and produce an online animated story, Ghosts of Albion, for the BBC which later got a second series.

Always busy, Amber has five films coming out in 2006 including one that she has written, directed and produced as well as starred in, Lovers, Liars and Lunatics.

Trivia

Amber was supposed to return to Buffy in Season Seven episode, Conversations With Dead People, however negotiations fell through and her part was played by Azura Skye as Cassie Newton.

Amber sang on two tracks of co-star Anthony Stewart Head's album, Music For Elevators.
